- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care, ensuring a high level of quality and safety.
- Provide case management and counseling services to patients and their families, promoting a culture of client-centered care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care, adhering to the standards of practice set by the Nurses Association of New Brunswick.
- Develop and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of individual nursing care plans, making modifications as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Engage in therapeutic relationships with patients and their families, supporting and guiding them in their recovery planning.
- Facilitate and participate in educational or therapeutic groups, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
- Ensure that patients and their families have been provided with information conducive to optimal outcomes, promoting patient autonomy and empowerment.
- Act as a patient advocate, promoting an environment conducive to open communication and professionalism.
- Maintain knowledge of treatments, equipment, and supplies pertinent to the service, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care.
- Act as a role model, working collaboratively with other team members to promote a culture of teamwork and respect.
- Evaluate and communicate special patient needs and/or staffing needs to ensure safe and quality care provision.

- Maintain personal certification skills required for the role, ensuring that you are equipped to provide the highest level of care.
