Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Server to join our team at Skye Avenue - Kitchen & Lounge. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food and Beverage Service
    • Prepare and serve specialty food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Present menus and make recommendations to guests, answering questions and providing information about food and beverage options.
  • Customer Service
    • Greet and welcome guests, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
    • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service and efficient food and beverage delivery.
    • Communicate effectively with guests and team members to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees
    • Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees by facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
    • Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who were displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
    • Provide mentorship programs and diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Support for Indigenous People
    • Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience
      • Will train.
    • Work Language
      • English.
    • Work Term
      • Permanent.
    • Hours
      • 40 hours per week.
