About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Licensing to join our team at the Alberta Insurance Council. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our licensing operations and ensuring that our regulatory framework is effective and efficient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement licensing strategies and policies that align with our overall business objectives.
  • Lead a team of licensing professionals and provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Collaborate with government officials and industry stakeholders to ensure that our licensing processes are compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry associations, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Provide strategic advice to our CEO and senior leadership team on licensing and regulatory matters.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of senior experience in a government or regulatory setting, with a strong background in licensing and regulatory policy.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective licensing strategies and policies.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop a team of licensing professionals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of $150,000 to $195,000 per year, depending on experience.
