Pediatric Care Registered Nurse

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families within various clinical settings, including the Post Emergency Pediatric Clinic, Ambulatory Care Clinic, and Post Discharge General Internal Medicine Clinic. Your role will involve providing follow-up consultations and managing care for patients undergoing minor surgical procedures, gynecological treatments, urological interventions, and plastic surgeries, as well as administering infusions and transfusions.

- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- ACLS certification is advantageous
- Current PALS certification is preferred
- Current PEARS certification is preferred
- Experience in pediatric nursing is essential
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification is mandatory
- 2-5 years of recent experience in pediatric emergency, pediatric nursing, or clinic settings is preferred
- Strong assessment skills for newborns, children, and adults
- Experience in Ambulatory Care nursing, OR nursing, or Emergency nursing is beneficial
- A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in an outpatient or clinic environment is highly preferred
- Experience in procedural-based clinics, including therapeutic phlebotomy, and critical assessment skills are required
- Proficient in venipuncture and IV administration for both adult and pediatric populations
- Skilled in medication calculation and administration for newborns, children, and adults
- Demonstrated ability to assist and support breastfeeding mothers; Breastfeeding Certification 1 & 2 is an asset
- Commitment to Family-Centered Care and ability to collaborate effectively with families
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and prioritization abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information
Work Schedule: Rotating shifts, including weekdays and weekends, subject to operational needs.
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications.
