We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at RhynoCare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents.
Responsibilities- Deliver Excellent Patient Care: Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
- Assess and Plan Care: Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Ensure Smooth Admissions and Transfers: Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including a comprehensive orientation to the home and its services.
- Manage Medications and Supplies: Ensure the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
- Provide Comprehensive Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
- Education and Certification: Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent, and current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Skills and Qualifications: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, basic computer proficiency, valid First Aid and CPR Certificate, strong written and verbal English communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with others.
- Knowledge and Compliance: Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other pertinent Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Statutes that influence the operation of the Nursing Home and the nursing department.
- Clearance and Screening: Medical Clearance, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and a Clear Criminal Record check.
