About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products within our warehouse environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Operate material handling equipment safely and effectively, including forklifts, order picking trucks, and reach trucks, to move goods throughout the warehouse.
  • Utilize RF technology and computer workstations to accurately update warehouse management and transportation management systems, ensuring real-time inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
  • Perform a variety of warehouse tasks, including receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and conveyor operation, adhering to established company procedures and safety protocols.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations and industry standards, such as handling hazardous materials, transportation of dangerous goods, ISO, CGP, WHMIS, and Asbestos guidelines.
  • Participate in cycle counting or physical inventory activities as required, contributing to the accuracy of our inventory records.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Assist with special projects or other duties assigned by your supervisor or warehouse manager.

Your Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of general warehouse experience.
  • Ability to lift or lower goods up to 50 lbs. from waist level.
  • Qualified equipment operator certification for forklifts, order picking trucks, and reach trucks.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using RF technology.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Motivated, eager to learn, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexible with work hours and adaptable to changing assignments.
