Job Description: SMT Production Technician - 2nd Shift

We are seeking a skilled and motivated SMT Production Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling electronic components and operating various surface mount technology (SMT) equipment to produce high-quality products.

Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures at all times.
  • Prepare components and assemble new products according to manufacturing documentation, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards.
  • Operate SMT machines, including printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens, with proficiency and precision.
  • Promptly report any issues or concerns to the Production Manager, Production Engineer, or Quality Control (QC) personnel.
  • Effectively manage time to ensure timely completion of products and repairs to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed on Product Travelling Sheets, including parts consumed and labor hours for both new and repaired products.
  • Provide valuable feedback and improvement suggestions regarding manufacturability and other design aspects.
  • Carefully maintain manufacturing equipment and operate it responsibly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Actively participate in and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • May occasionally contribute to special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in operating machinery and following established procedures.
