We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bilingual Disability Claims Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our insurance claims team, you will be responsible for adjudicating and managing disability claims in a team-oriented, multi-disciplinary, and digital environment.
Key Responsibilities- Adjudicate claims by utilizing a multidisciplinary claim management model to ensure objective, fair, and thorough claim adjudication, while complying with policy provisions, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service and manage reputational risk.
- Manage a large caseload of disability claims, calculate benefit payments, and implement claims management and return-to-work strategies, where warranted.
- Communicate approval or denial decisions to clients in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Exercise extreme care in handling sensitive claim information to maintain confidentiality.
- Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders, and business partners using various techniques and collaboration from initiation to close.
- Post-secondary education, preferably in healthcare or a related field, or related work experience.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is required, as you will regularly serve clients and interact with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs.
- High-level writing skills in French and English.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, with the ability to multitask and balance multiple goals and priorities.
- Excellent customer service and telephone skills, with the ability to communicate complex and difficult information with professionalism and empathy.
- Ability to work independently in a structured environment, as a Remote Office Employee (ROE), with proven time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
