Position Overview

Ignite Talent Solutions is seeking dedicated Geriatric Care Nurses for senior living facilities. This role offers a competitive remuneration package and is structured as a full-time contract.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Assess Resident Needs: Identify the individual requirements of residents and formulate comprehensive care plans.
  • Medication Management: Oversee the inventory, control, and secure storage of medications, ensuring adherence to protocols during all assigned shifts.
  • Qualifications: Hold a diploma in Practical Nursing and maintain current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Nursing Expertise: Possess a solid understanding of geriatric care principles and nursing administration.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Be familiar with the Nursing Home Act and Regulations, as well as relevant sections of the Health Disciplines Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, and Food & Drug Act.
Requirements

Applicants must have a valid certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario and be prepared to provide documentation confirming good standing.
