Partner Staffing is currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated Electrical Project Manager to join our client's team in Calgary. This full-time office position offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects within the utilities sector.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of utility power and distribution projects. Your key focus will be ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans encompassing scope, schedule, resources, and budget. Define clear project objectives, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Execution: Lead and manage diverse project teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors. Ensure seamless coordination and communication among all stakeholders.
  • Quality Control: Monitor project progress and performance rigorously, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Implement robust quality assurance and quality control processes.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies. Address issues and challenges promptly to minimize impact on project timelines and budget.
  • Budget Management: Oversee project finances, including cost estimation, budget tracking, and financial reporting. Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of resources.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and regulatory authorities. Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain meticulous project documentation, including contracts, reports, and records. Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
  • Safety: Promote a culture of safety and ensure all project activities comply with health and safety regulations. Conduct safety audits and inspections as required.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project delivery and performance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within the utilities, power, and distribution sector.
  • Proven experience with large-scale utility power and distribution projects.
