Key Responsibilities:The selected candidate will deliver exceptional customer service to students purchasing items from the Campus Store.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Processing daily transactions using the Point of Sale system for cash and credit card payments, ensuring the security of cash and inventory.
- Providing customer assistance by addressing inquiries via phone and in-person, locating books and supplies, and managing special orders.
- Updating the supervisor on inventory levels of essential items and checking the expiration dates of perishable goods.
- Supporting temporary cashiers with Point of Sale operations.
- Handling refunds for merchandise while adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Managing OSAP and sponsored deferments in accordance with Campus Store guidelines.
- Maintaining cleanliness at cash counters and organizing merchandise displays.
- Participating in bi-annual physical inventory counts.
- Assisting with various Campus Store events and activities as needed.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
- Previous cash handling experience in a busy retail setting is essential.
- Familiarity with Bookware and Point of Sale training is advantageous.
- Proficient understanding of cash register operations, credit sales terminals, and security tagging systems.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Exemplary tact, integrity, and diplomacy with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $23.01

Hours: 35 hours per week
