Job Title: Recreation Facilitator

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Facilitator to join our team at Lions Housing Centres Inc. in Winnipeg. As a Recreation Facilitator, you will be responsible for planning and executing recreational activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our day club participants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement recreation programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of participants.
  • Collaborate with the Recreation Manager to create a comprehensive recreation schedule.
  • Conduct regular evaluations to assess program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute to the creation of monthly calendars and highlight special events.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the organization's policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Completion of the Recreation Facilitator for Older Adults Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant experience working with seniors.
  • Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.
  • Proven group facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
