**Job Summary**

Armour Transportation Systems is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Dispatcher. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of equipment and freight, ensuring seamless communication with drivers, and providing exceptional service to our customers.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Collaborate with various departments, terminals, and customers to identify and resolve barriers in the movement of equipment and freight.
  • Provide clear and concise communication to drivers, ensuring they have the necessary information to complete their tasks efficiently.
  • Support internal teams as needed, focusing on capturing special circumstances for planning and revenue.
  • Coordinate equipment utilization and maintenance, identifying opportunities to reduce empty miles.
  • Attend scheduled meetings, training sessions, and events to stay informed and aligned with company goals.
  • Work with drivers to plan vacation coverage and update supervisors on the visibility plan.

**Working Conditions**

  • Fast-paced environment with varying shifts (9:00 am - 9:00 pm).
  • Ability to handle a high volume of customer and driver communication.

**Requirements**

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with analytical decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead groups and communicate effectively.
  • Able to analyze situations, identify problems, and negotiate win-win scenarios.

**Technical Skills**

  • Experience with the TruckMate system is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, with the ability to prepare reports in Word and Excel.
  • Strong typing and computer skills.
