About the Role:The successful candidate will be a member of our Information Technology (IT) unit, responsible for developing and supporting business systems, applications, and business processes. This includes leading, developing, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives through the modernization of business processes, technology systems, integrations, reporting, and data analysis and visualization capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, maintain, and support new and existing business applications, as well as Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), to ensure integrity and sustainability.
- Consult with WPS staff to analyze business processes, systems, and data structures to make recommendations for improvements in service delivery and data analytics.
- Participate in and support the development of the IT project portfolio plans and long-term strategic goals, evaluating new technologies and providing recommendations for strategic projects.
- Develop and deliver IT documentation, recommendation reports, presentations, and training as required.
- Security responsibilities and leadership related to all job functions.
- University Degree in Computer Science or a three-year Community College Diploma in a Computer Sciences-related program.
- Knowledge of the latest programming languages and/or strong SQL experience for databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.
- Understanding of relational database concepts.
- Experience and knowledge in information technology service management or operational process creation, process and/or technical writing, and facilitating meetings and requirements gathering.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to understand, compile, and sort technical data for presentation to decision makers.
A Monday to Friday day shift schedule, with after-hours support as required. This is a full-time in-office position. Successful candidates will be required to successfully complete a thorough background investigation.
