Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Operator II to join our team at Imperial Oil. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plant units and sulfur recovery operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with the Control Room Technician and other Operations Technicians to ensure understanding of job safety requirements, safety, health, environmental, and security concerns.
  • Support the CRT/Ops Supervisor in providing oversight of area activities and ensuring they are integrated and conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work in a crew environment to manage activities involved with safe and efficient operation of all plant units and sulfur recovery operations.
  • Perform surveillance of equipment.
Requirements
  • Industry experience in operations or similar required.
  • In-depth knowledge in production operations/processes.
  • In-depth knowledge in P&IDs, PFD's, and UFD's.
  • Able to read shutdown logic diagrams.
  • Highest standard of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude and cultivates the same in others.
  • Excellent communications (oral & written) in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and motivation skills.
  • Ability to interact in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Advanced understanding and operation of Emergency Preparedness Procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of safety management tools and processes.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate.
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record required.
  • Gas plant experience desired.
  • Strong troubleshooting, planning, coordination, and supervisory skills.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, MS Word, Outlook.
Work Schedule

14 days on / 14 days off

12 hour shifts

84 hours/ week

1 year contract

Pay Range

The pay range for this position is $40-49 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
