Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems and Security Specialist to join our team at 407 ETR. As a key member of our Information Technology division, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and highly available enterprise systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure and highly available enterprise systems and networks
  • Assess and mitigate security risks to ensure compliance with IT governance frameworks
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and translate requirements into technical architecture
  • Respond to and resolve system issues, including security incidents
  • Monitor and report on system performance and capacity
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members
  • Conduct security, performance, and risk analysis for network and information systems
  • Assist in designing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
  • Ensure operational, performance, and security monitoring of all designated enterprise systems
  • Act as an escalation point for system-related incidents

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise systems, virtualization, storage, networks, and Wi-Fi infrastructure
  • Experience with IT security technologies and best practices
  • Experience with highly available multi-site system design
  • Experience supporting z/OS, Microsoft Windows Server, Unix, or JUNOS systems
  • Experience with VMware and other virtualization technologies
  • Experience managing Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
  • College or University degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • System and security technical certifications an asset

About 407 ETR:

407 ETR is an all-electronic open-access toll highway located in the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario, Canada. Our Information Technology division is responsible for the infrastructure and software to enable the efficient operation of the highway, including toll capture, account management, financials, and data storage/analytics.

We use an Agile-Scrum approach to deliver our services, including self-organization, short iterations, strong collaboration, and dedicated teams in scrum rooms.
