Enterprise Systems and Security Architect

Job Summary:

As a highly skilled Systems and Security Specialist at 407 ETR, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining operationally sustainable, highly available, and secure enterprise systems and networks. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify and translate requirements into fully delivered technical architecture. Your expertise will be essential in resolving system issues, monitoring performance, and ensuring the smooth operation of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, install, configure, and maintain server, storage, network, and Wi-Fi infrastructure to ensure high availability and security.
  2. Provide general oversight of implementation and system troubleshooting activities to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  3. Develop and maintain system documentation and inventories to ensure accurate information and efficient support.
  4. Conduct regular security, performance, and risk analysis to identify potential threats and areas for improvement.
  5. Assist in designing, planning, documenting, and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  6. Ensure operational, performance, and security monitoring of all designated enterprise systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  7. Act as an escalation point for system-related incidents, including security incidents, and ensure timely resolution to minimize impact.
  8. Collaborate with delivery teams, IT, and business customers to support initiatives, provide estimates, and ensure that solutions are highly operational, available, and secure.
  9. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices to ensure the continued security and reliability of our infrastructure.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise systems, virtualization, storage, networks, and Wi-Fi infrastructure.
  2. Experience with supporting application development environments, including automation of rapid environment provisioning.
  3. Experience with IT security technologies and best practices, including threat analysis and mitigation.
  4. Experience with highly available multi-site system design and implementation.
  5. Experience supporting z/OS, Microsoft Windows Server, Unix, or JUNOS systems.
  6. Experience with VMware and other virtualization technologies, including environment orchestration and self-service provisioning.
  7. Experience managing Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
  8. College or university degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  9. System and security technical certifications, such as JNCIA, CCNP, CCSP, CISSP, MSCE.
