About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of expertise in claims management. You will be responsible for effectively adjudicating specialized multi-line general liability claims of various complexities within company standards and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of general liability claims, including establishing coverage through primary or excess policies.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to assess liability and exposure, including statutory and contractual requirements.
  • Evaluate damages and manage reserves based on recent developments of the file for most probable outcomes.
  • Manage subrogation or tender opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with clients and parties involved.
  • Ensure claim files are properly documented.
  • Manage litigated claims by attending virtual legal proceedings, securing budgets, and case evaluations.
  • Negotiate and settle claims within delegated authority.
  • Complete required reporting.
  • Maintain professional client relationships.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma preferred.
  • Four (4) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Subject matter expert in insurance principles and laws for line-of-business handled, recoveries, offsets, and deductions, claim and disability duration, cost containment principles.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Analytical and interpretive skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to meet or exceed Service Expectations.
