Job Summary

The Mobile Maintenance Superintendent will report to the Sr. Manager Maintenance and work a 2 X 2 rotation at Ekati. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage competing demands and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and demonstrate safe work practices to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Effectively lead and coach team members to achieve maintenance goals and objectives.
  • Manage the 2-year/5-year maintenance program to align with the business's strategic operating plan.
  • Manage 2-year/5-year Operating and Capital budgets to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Manage monthly spend and quarterly forecasts, communicating variances to plan to stakeholders.
  • Manage the creation and modification of contracts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and adhere to the Work Management RASI chart to optimize maintenance efficiency.
  • Manage work management KPIs and variance actions to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Approve life cycle analysis recommendations to ensure optimal maintenance strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory authorities and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Ticketed Journeyman or Degree Qualified Engineer.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 15 years of related industry experience, including at least 5+ years maintenance planning experience or equivalent combination.
  • Solid understanding of equipment reliability concepts.
  • Sound appreciation of risk management strategy and quality management methods and practices.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and computer literacy with willingness to learn new computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to communicate clearly.
  • Experience working in the mining industry, northern Canada, and an understanding of the northern regulatory environment is preferred.
