Pacific Smoke International Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Distribution Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end distribution process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee and manage several departments, including receiving, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and MHE operators.
    • Manage distribution operations, including safety, quality, continuous improvement, resource planning, and budgeting.
    • Participate in the planning and execution of the company's disaster mitigation and recovery plan.
    • Identify cross-functional improvement opportunities by improving service, customer operational issues, and implementing a Warehouse Management System.
    • Work with management to establish and achieve KPIs and relevant performance metrics with regular reporting.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Provide overall direction, support, coaching, and leadership to the distribution teams to achieve prescribed objectives and align department and individual efforts to the vision, mission, strategy, and culture of PSI.
    • Supervise and lead a team, including hiring, termination, and training.
    • Manage staff performance through formal performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, and discipline when required through ongoing feedback.
  • Customer Satisfaction:
    • Ensure quality service to consumers by exceeding customer shipping requirements within the established time frame and communicating any issues that may impact customers.
    • Establish and maintain high-quality service standards to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
    • Member of the Health and Safety Committee and ensure that healthy operational reviews and measures are in place to track and deliver results to reduce injuries, improve quality, and reduce costs.
    • Provide leadership and support for Health & Safety initiatives at the facility by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment throughout the Warehouse.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Distribution, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of distribution management experience.
  • Solid technical skills, including familiarity with distribution, logistics, and inventory warehouse software, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Proven ability to direct a high-performing team in a fast-paced distribution environment to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a team culture of excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including leadership, conflict resolution, and team building abilities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and possess the commitment to delivering quality results and overcoming obstacles in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as needed.
