Position Overview

The role of Manager, Commercial Portfolio Management is crucial in overseeing a diverse portfolio exceeding $10MM in the Mid-Market sector. This position entails providing expert credit structuring, underwriting, and risk management while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Credit Underwriting: Collaborate with sales teams to deliver timely and effective credit assessments for both new and existing clients. Manage risks while fostering relationships with Mid-Market commercial clients.
  • Risk Management: Leverage comprehensive knowledge of credit policies to implement risk mitigation strategies. Ensure that risk assessment protocols are adhered to, balancing potential rewards with CWB's risk appetite.
  • Client Engagement: Engage with clients regularly to identify their needs and connect them with appropriate resources within the organization.
  • Leadership and Culture: Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration and inclusivity. Lead by example, encouraging a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in finance, commerce, or accounting, complemented by approximately 6 years of relevant experience in risk management and commercial credit underwriting across various industries.
