Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Repair: Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools, ensuring a watertight seal and meeting safety standards.
  • Supervision: Supervise other workers on site, providing guidance and support to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, and plan work schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized work site.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed to satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in metal roofing installation and repair.
  • Certifications: Working at Heights training and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work, requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: At heights, noisy, dusty, and outdoors.
  • Work Setting: Various locations, including commercial, industrial, and residential properties.
