About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at SUNFOOD MARKET INC. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle customer payments, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
  • Process Payments: Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, as well as process returns and exchanges.
  • Stock Shelves and Clean Counter Area: Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning the counter area.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with Promotions: Participate in promotional activities, such as setting up displays and promoting sales.
  • Verify Age for Age-Restricted Products: Verify the age of customers when selling age-restricted products, such as lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of retail sales experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
