We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Recreation Coordinator to join our team at the City of St. Catharines. As a Recreation Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing front office operations, and supporting recreation programs.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to visitors, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Front Office Operations: Manage daily front office activities, including filing, administrative tasks, and maintaining accurate records.
- Program Support: Assist recreation staff with program setup, equipment organization, and registration management.
- Facility Monitoring: Monitor the facility, report maintenance issues, and ensure a safe and clean environment for visitors.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with recreation staff, management, and other stakeholders to achieve departmental goals.
- Education: Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience working in a recreation, retail, or tourism field.
- Skills: Well-developed customer service and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Certifications: Current First Aid and CPR certificates, and Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness training.
- Availability: Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
The Recreation Coordinator will work in a fast-paced front office environment, interacting with visitors, staff, and management. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
