Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Law Firm Administrator to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to our law firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
  • Full Cycle Accounting: Manage all aspects of accounting, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • File Closing: Oversee the closing of files, ensuring all necessary documents are completed and filed properly.
  • Legal Compliance: Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Records Maintenance: Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, both physical and digital.
  • Trust Accounting: Ensure accurate and timely management of trust accounts.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide regular financial reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Tax Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting for the partnership.
  • Supervision of AP/AR Processes and Staff: Oversee and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including supervision of staff.
  • Year-End Accounting Processing: Ensure accurate and timely completion of year-end accounting processing.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage benefits administration, including payroll and related processes.
  • Auditing of Payroll and Processes: Conduct regular audits of payroll and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Resolution of Payroll Issues or Discrepancies: Resolve any payroll issues or discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Provide exceptional communication skills regarding payroll policies and procedures.
  • Vendor Management: Manage all vendor relationships, including subscriptions and contracts.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a law office setting.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
  • Certification: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
  • Payroll Experience: Previous experience in payroll processing and management, preferably in a legal or regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of Payroll Laws and Regulations: In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Leap Proficiency: Proficiency in Leap.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills (in person/on the phone).
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Organization and Time-Management Skills: Strong organization and time-management skills, prioritization.
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task.
