Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Leaf Spring Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Dendoff Springs Ltd. This is a permanent position that offers a stable work environment.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a related field

  • Assembly tasks
Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect products for accuracy in shapes, dimensions, and specifications
  • Shape and form metal stock into parts or products through cutting, bending, rolling, and welding
  • Set up and operate various light or heavy metalworking machines
  • Utilize gas or oil-fired furnaces to heat metal to appropriate temperatures for forging
  • Assemble metal parts using welding, soldering, bolting, or riveting techniques
  • Operate presses or forging machines for hot or cold shaping of metal
  • Load metal pieces into furnaces
  • Position heated or cooled metal on dies for pressing or forging
  • Interpret specifications and follow verbal instructions
  • Remove metal from furnaces when it reaches the correct forging temperature
Special Processes
  • Heat treatment of metals

  • Metal rolling operations
Equipment Proficiency
  • Experience with drills, forging presses, furnace hand tongs, micrometers, power presses, punch presses, riveters, saws, shears, shotblasters, shearing machines, and grinding machines
Metal Forming Expertise
  • Proficient in bending, cutting, flattening, forming, twisting, punching, and straightening metal
Transportation Information
  • Public transportation is accessible
Physical Requirements
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Manual dexterity and capability to stand for extended periods
  • Repetitive tasks involved
Weight Handling
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and more than 45 kg (100 lbs)
Personal Equipment
  • Steel-toed safety boots are required
