Job Responsibilities
  • Inspect products for accuracy in shapes, dimensions, and specifications.
  • Utilize various metalworking machines to cut, bend, roll, and shape metal stock into components.
  • Set up and operate light or heavy machinery for metal fabrication.
  • Heat metal using gas or oil-fired furnaces prior to forging processes.
  • Assemble metal parts through welding, soldering, bolting, or riveting techniques.
  • Perform hot or cold forging operations to achieve desired metal shapes.
  • Follow specifications and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Monitor and remove metal pieces from furnaces at appropriate temperatures.
Special Processes
  • Heat treatment processes as required.
Equipment Proficiency
  • Experience with drills, forging presses, furnace hand tongs, micrometers, power presses, punch presses, riveters, saws, shears, shotblasters, shearing machines, and grinding machines.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle heavy loads (up to 100 lbs).
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Capability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
Personal Attributes
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Strong judgment and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
