Job Title: Leaf Spring Maker

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Dendoff Springs Ltd. as a Leaf Spring Maker.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating high-quality leaf springs using various metalworking machines and equipment. This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Check products for correct shapes, dimensions, and specifications
  • Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld, or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products
  • Lay out, set up, and operate light or heavy metalworking machines
  • Operate gas or oil-fired furnaces to heat metal to proper temperatures prior to forging
  • Operate machines or equipment that weld, solder, bolt, screw, or rivet metal parts together
  • Operate presses or other forging machines to perform hot or cold forging to shape or form metal
  • Place metal pieces in furnaces
  • Position heated or cooled metal pieces on dies of presses or other forging machinery
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions
  • Remove metal pieces from furnaces when color or metal indicates proper forging temperature
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in metal fabrication or a related field
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Judgment and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a dusty, hot, and noisy environment. Relocation costs will be covered by the employer, and the position is willing to relocate.
