Job Title: Accounting Technician

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to oversee the financial operations within our organization. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The successful candidate will report directly to the management team and will be a key player in our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the complete accounting cycle including accounts payable, invoicing, payroll, and tax reporting.
  • Support management in monitoring costs, providing insightful tracking data, and suggesting improvements.
  • Prepare financial entries for month-end and year-end closing.
  • Generate various financial reports for management review.
  • Engage in analytical projects focused on variances, profitability, and client revenue.
  • Assist in the budgeting process and financial forecasting.
  • Undertake additional tasks or special projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: DEC or BAC in Accounting.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • Candidates working towards CPA designation with comprehensive cycle experience are preferred.
  • Proficient in both English and French.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated autonomy, resourcefulness, sound judgment, and effective prioritization skills.
