Job Title: Accounting Technician

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to oversee financial operations within our organization. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The successful candidate will report directly to senior management and will be integral in managing all accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle accounting tasks including accounts payable, invoicing, payroll processing, tax documentation, and reconciliations.
  • Support management in financial oversight, providing detailed tracking and insightful recommendations.
  • Prepare financial entries for month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Generate various financial reports for internal use.
  • Engage in analytical projects focusing on financial variances, profitability, and client revenue.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process.
  • Undertake additional tasks or special projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: DEC or BAC in Accounting.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Candidates pursuing CPA designation with comprehensive accounting experience are preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in both English and French.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated autonomy, resourcefulness, sound judgment, and effective priority management.
