Job Title: Accounting Technician

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to oversee the financial operations for our organization. This role is essential for ensuring accurate accounting practices and maintaining financial integrity. The Accounting Technician will report directly to the management team and will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full cycle accounting tasks including accounts payable, invoicing, payroll processing, tax documentation, and reconciliations.
  • Support management in monitoring costs, providing essential tracking data, and making informed recommendations.
  • Prepare and analyze month-end and year-end financial statements.
  • Generate various financial reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Engage in analysis projects focusing on financial variances, profitability, and client revenue.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process.
  • Undertake additional related duties or special projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: DEC or BAC in Accounting.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • Candidates pursuing CPA designation with comprehensive cycle experience are preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in both English and French.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated autonomy, resourcefulness, sound judgment, and effective priority management.
