Prior Learning Assessment Specialist

SIIT is seeking a skilled Prior Learning Assessment Specialist to join our team. As a Prior Learning Assessment Specialist, you will play a critical role in promoting and creating an environment that demonstrates SIIT's vision, mission, and mandate.
Job SummaryThe Prior Learning Assessment Specialist will be responsible for marking INECE student's PLAR assignments. This position will include remote work and requires a strong understanding of course/program content and program requirements to effectively evaluate assignments.
Key Responsibilities- Mark and score PLAR assignments using the online platform
- Collaborate with INECE Coordinators and Instructors to ensure PLAR assessment deadlines are met
- Evaluate assignments and provide appropriate recommendations or feedback
- Adhere to PLAR policies and procedures
- Respect, honor, and acknowledge the uniqueness of each student, including their unique languages, cultures, traditions, histories, and prior learning and life experiences
A Bachelor of Education degree is preferred; experience and knowledge of PLAR assessment are considered assets. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Knowledge of First Nations' culture and organizations would be an asset.
