SIIT is seeking a skilled Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) Assessor to join our team. As a PLAR Assessor, you will play a critical role in evaluating the prior learning and experience of Indigenous Early Childhood Education students.
Key Responsibilities- Mark INECE student PLAR assignments using the online platform
- Collaborate with INECE Coordinators and Instructors to ensure PLAR assessment deadlines are met
- Evaluate assignments and provide recommendations or feedback using critical thinking and knowledge of course/program content
- Adhere to PLAR policies and procedures, as well as academic regulations and SIIT's policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain respectful relations with students and colleagues, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment
A Bachelor of Education degree is preferred, with experience and knowledge of PLAR assessment considered assets. Knowledge of First Nations' culture and organizations is also an asset.
