As a Prior Learning Assessment Specialist, you will play a critical role in promoting and creating an environment that demonstrates SIIT\u2019s vision, mission, and mandate. You will be responsible for marking INECE student\u2019s PLAR assignments and ensuring that they meet the required standards. This is a casual position that requires a strong understanding of PLAR policies and procedures, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with instructors and coordinators. If you have a Bachelor of Education degree and experience in PLAR assessment, we encourage you to apply.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Mark INECE student\u2019s PLAR assignments using the online platform
* Ensure that PLAR assignments meet the required standards
* Collaborate with instructors and coordinators to ensure that PLAR deadlines are met
* Use knowledge and critical thinking to evaluate assignments and provide appropriate recommendations or feedback
* Maintain an in-depth understanding of course/program content and program requirements
* Adhere to PLAR policies and procedures
* Promote academic regulations and SIIT\u2019s policies and procedures
* Respect, honor, and acknowledge the uniqueness of each student
* Develop and maintain respectful relations through the use of problem-solving and constructive resolution
* Ensure a positive, diverse, and inclusive work environment

**Required Qualifications and Experience:**

* Bachelor of Education degree
* Experience in PLAR assessment
* Knowledge of First Nations\u2019 culture and organizations
