We are in search of a Compliance Specialist to enhance our Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team. The ideal candidate will facilitate our operational functions and processes, ensuring the protection of customer data, providing both internal and external assurances regarding the integrity of our security measures, and developing and implementing effective controls in a rapidly changing technological environment.

This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring in-office presence on designated days with flexibility for remote work on others.

Key Responsibilities...

  • Oversee the SOC 2 audit initiative and coordinate interactions with internal departments and external auditors.
  • Conduct assessments of control design and effectiveness, review transactions and supporting documentation, and prepare audit reports and working papers.
  • Lead workshops and monitor remediation activities to ensure that corrective measures are properly designed and executed.
  • Perform readiness evaluations against selected frameworks and collaborate with stakeholders to implement necessary controls and practices.
  • Assist in the creation of risk management controls and systems, and conduct risk assessments.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide support to sales by offering insights on operational practices and controls, and addressing inquiries from prospects and existing clients.
  • Research and monitor compliance with current and emerging laws, regulations, and standards.

Qualifications...

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in operational audits, risk management, and compliance practices.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and frameworks such as SOC 2, SOC 3, ISO 27001/27002, COSO, CoBIT, NIST CSF, and NIST is advantageous.
  • Relevant educational background and certifications in audit, information assurance, corporate governance, and risk management.
  • Previous experience in auditing technical controls and environments (e.g., AWS, ITGC, SOC 2).
