Job Title: Mechanic Helper

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic Helper to join our team at 2862663 Ontario Inc. As a Mechanic Helper, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mechanics and technicians in maintaining and repairing our heavy equipment.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting mechanics and technicians with various tasks, including moving equipment, holding stakes during surveying activities, and signaling safety procedures to other workers and the general public. You will also be required to help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed, and clean machines and immediate work areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist mechanics and technicians with equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Move equipment and materials as needed
  • Hold stakes during surveying activities
  • Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public
  • Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Manual dexterity
  • Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Ability to handle heavy loads
  • Large workload
  • Ability to work under pressure
Work Environment:

Our work environment is outdoors, dusty, and hot. You will be required to work in a physically demanding environment and be able to handle heavy loads.
