Job Title: Environmental Project Manager

At Montrose Environmental Group, we are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our Assessment, Remediation, Reclamation and Monitoring (ARRM) team in Edmonton, Alberta.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to manage projects related to environmental assessment and remediation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
  • Develop and implement project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget
  • Coordinate with internal project teams, including engineers, hydrogeologists, soil scientists, and ecologists
  • Communicate with clients and project stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded
  • Prepare technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, and cost estimates
  • Manage client relationships and expectations
  • Proactively engage and participate in development opportunities and career growth
  • Mentor and develop junior staff members
Requirements:
  • Technical diploma or degree in environmental science, project management, or a related field
  • A minimum of three (3) years' previous project management experience
  • Project management experience in ARRM projects in Western Canada or familiarity with the Oil & Gas industry would be considered an asset
  • Experience with Workday software would be an asset
  • Experience managing client relationships
  • Eligibility for registration in or a member in good standing of a professional organization would be considered an asset
  • Familiarity with preparing work plans, cost estimates, and scopes of work
  • Self-motivated and possess strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Detail orientated, possess good organizational skills, and have the ability to prioritize
  • Willingness to provide direction and mentorship to more junior professionals
  • A valid and clean class 5 driver's license with no restrictions
