Intermediate Environmental Project Manager

At Montrose Environmental Group, we are seeking an experienced Intermediate Environmental Project Manager to join our Assessment, Remediation, Reclamation and Monitoring (ARRM) team in Edmonton, Alberta.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and client satisfaction. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, project management, or a related field, with a minimum of three years of experience in project management, preferably in ARRM projects in Western Canada or the Oil & Gas industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinate with internal project teams across disciplines, including engineers, hydrogeologists, soil scientists, and ecologists
  • Communicate with clients and project-related stakeholders
  • Prepare technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, and cost estimates
  • Function effectively within and contribute to the success of a collaborative team
  • Mentor and develop junior staff members
Requirements
  • Technical diploma or degree in environmental science, project management, or a related field
  • A minimum of three years of project management experience, preferably in ARRM projects in Western Canada or the Oil & Gas industry
  • Experience with Workday software would be an asset
  • Eligibility for registration in or a member in good standing of a professional organization would be considered an asset
  • Familiarity with preparing work plans, cost estimates, and scopes of work
  • Self-motivated and possess strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Detail-oriented, possess good organizational skills, and have the ability to prioritize
  • Willingness to provide direction and mentorship to more junior professionals
  • A valid and clean Class 5 driver's license with no restrictions
