Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our team at Montrose Environmental Group in Edmonton, Alberta. As an Environmental Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects related to environmental consulting and engineering services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinate with internal project teams across disciplines, including engineers, hydrogeologists, soil scientists, and ecologists
  • Communicate with clients and project-related stakeholders
  • Manage client communications and expectations
  • Prepare technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, and cost estimates
  • Function effectively within and contribute to the success of a collaborative team
  • Proactively engage and participate in development opportunities and career growth
  • Mentor and develop junior staff members

Requirements

  • Technical diploma or degree in environmental science, project management, or a related field
  • A minimum of three (3) years' previous project management experience
  • Project management experience in ARRM projects in Western Canada or familiarity with the Oil & Gas industry would be considered an asset
  • Experience with Workday software would be an asset
  • Experience managing client relationships
  • Eligibility for registration in or a member in good standing of a professional organization would be considered an asset
  • Familiarity with preparing work plans, cost estimates, and scopes of work
  • Self-motivated and possess strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Detail-oriented, possess good organizational skills, and have the ability to prioritize
  • Willingness to provide direction and mentorship to more junior professionals
  • A valid and clean class 5 driver's license with no restrictions

Working Environment

The working environment is generally outdoors in various weather conditions, and the physical demands may include but not limited to bending, lifting (up to 50lbs is required), carrying, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting (if traveling long distances), repetitive arm movements, and walking/hiking on uneven terrain. In addition, this role may require up to 75% travel.
