Hotel Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Managing Supervisor to join our team at Harbourview Inn & Suites. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our hotel, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our staff are well-trained and motivated.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Coordinate Hotel Staff: Lead and manage a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are performing their duties to the highest standard.
- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, hire, and train new staff members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Perform Same Duties as Workers Supervised: Be prepared to roll up your sleeves and perform the same duties as the staff members you supervise, ensuring that you have a deep understanding of the work and can provide effective guidance and support.
- Co-ordinate, Assign and Review Work: Plan, coordinate, and assign work tasks to staff members, reviewing their progress and providing feedback to ensure that they are meeting expectations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Experience is an asset.
- Attention to Detail: Possess strong attention to detail and be able to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Work Under Pressure: Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and professionalism.
- Dependability: Be dependable and reliable, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
- Flexibility: Be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to adjust to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Team Player: Be a team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees, providing guidance and support to help them settle into their new roles.
- Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- On-the-Job Training: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, providing them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their roles.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth, helping them to develop their skills and advance in their careers.
- Awareness Training: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Hiring Policies: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, ensuring that our workplace is inclusive and welcoming to all.
- Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees, providing guidance and support to help them succeed in their roles.
- Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
