We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at Nomiya Sushi & Ramen. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi and ramen dishes to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, including sushi and ramen, to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring that all dietary requirements are met.
- Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and that all equipment is in good working order.
- Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Language: English.
