Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and Pick Up: Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand.
  • Operate and Drive: Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.
  • Customer Service: Provide professional customer service and receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Record Keeping: Keep a record of items received and delivered.
  • Preparation and Restocking: Prepare, package, and restock goods.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods.
  • Sorting and Following Directions: Sort packages for delivery and follow directions and read maps.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
Requirements:
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence: Possess a valid Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
  • Transportation Experience: Have local transportation/travel experience.
  • Security and Safety: Undergo a criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handle heavy loads, and work under pressure.
  • Weight Handling: Be able to handle up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Own Tools/Equipment: Possess steel-toed safety boots, a cellular phone, and gloves.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, accurate, dependability, excellent oral communication, and punctuality.
Experience:

7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
