Role Summary
What is the opportunity?
As a pivotal leader in community engagement, you will oversee the performance of multiple RBC branches, each with unique characteristics and challenges. Your main objective is to guide these branches while collaborating closely with RBC partners to provide outstanding client experiences, enhance client acquisition, expand market presence, and foster sustainable growth. This will be achieved through the implementation of a comprehensive community strategy that integrates all branches and RBC partners. You will also play a significant role in the community, enhancing RBC's visibility, broadening your network, and identifying key business prospects. Your commitment to driving success for clients, employees, and the community is essential to thriving in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor direct reports while working alongside dedicated RBC partners to seize market opportunities and achieve robust business outcomes.
- Directly manage one branch and provide indirect oversight to others, focusing on developing leadership skills among your team.
- Formulate and execute a community strategy that leverages all roles and channels within the community.
- Drive initiatives for client acquisition and growth within the community, both inside and outside the branch, to enhance market share amidst competitive challenges.
- Ensure an exceptional client experience where personalized advice and digital capabilities are the primary value propositions.
- Act as a connector and leader within RBC and the broader community.
- Attract and foster talent development in collaboration with RBC partners.
- Understand and manage various risks, including strategic, reputational, operational, credit, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications for Success
Essential Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Sales Leadership and a minimum of 10 years in Financial Services, with exposure to multiple business lines preferred.
- Proven ability to prioritize effectively, deliver exceptional results through collaboration, and influence partners positively.
- Demonstrated success in leveraging emerging trends and proactively addressing competitive challenges.
- Experience in leading a diverse workforce, including sourcing, developing, and promoting talent, with the capability to manage teams remotely.
- Exhibited agility in leadership roles involving community engagement (e.g., directorships, committee memberships).
- Completion of an acceptable mutual fund branch management examination or the ability to undertake the exam within a specified timeframe.
- Experience in public speaking or media training.
