About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at A&W. As a key member of our restaurant team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of food service staff, including cooks, food service counter attendants, and food preparers.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Hire and manage food service staff to meet the needs of our restaurant.
  • Quality Control and Customer Service
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to ensure accurate inventory management.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high pressure to meet customer demands.
    • Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment.
  • Work Setting
    • Restaurant environment with a focus on customer service and quality food.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Client focus and efficient interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and staff.
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
    • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
