About the Role

Viking Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team in maintaining our outdoor spaces. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring our landscapes are well-manicured and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Landscape Constructions: Collaborate with our landscape construction team to ensure projects are completed to the highest standard.
  • Remove Litter and Garbage: Maintain a clean and safe environment by removing litter and garbage from our outdoor spaces.
  • Apply Fertilizers: Apply fertilizers and other treatments to our plants and trees to promote healthy growth.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on our landscape maintenance equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Write Daily Progress Reports: Document your daily activities and progress to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Operate and Maintain Landscape Maintenance Equipment: Safely operate and maintain a variety of landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging to maintain our outdoor spaces.
  • Physically Demanding: Work in a physically demanding environment, requiring manual dexterity and the ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Combination of Sitting, Standing, Walking: Spend time sitting, standing, and walking while performing your duties.
  • Bending, Crouching, Kneeling: Frequently bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks such as pruning and weeding.
  • Work Term: Permanent: This is a permanent, full-time position with Viking Services Inc.
  • Work Language: English: Fluency in English is required for this role.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week: Work a standard 40-hour week, with occasional overtime as required.
