Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of our kitchen staff, including cooks and kitchen helpers.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Menu Planning and Execution
- Work with our culinary team to plan and execute menus that meet the high standards of our restaurant.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements to ensure efficient food preparation and minimize waste.
- Quality Control and Customer Service
- Ensure that all food and service meet our quality control standards, including presentation, taste, and timeliness.
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Administrative Tasks
- Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, including inventory, sales, and waste management.
- Prepare food order summaries for our chef and other kitchen staff.
- Education and Experience
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
- Work Environment
- Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high pressure.
- Standing for extended periods and physically demanding work.
- Personal Qualities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
