About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Food Counter Attendant to join our team at Saanichton Coffee Shop. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and welcoming environment
  • Keep accurate records of food quantities used to optimize inventory and minimize waste
  • Package take-out food to meet customer expectations
  • Portion and wrap food items to ensure quality and presentation
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars to maintain a well-stocked and organized kitchen
  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently to meet customer needs
  • Operate manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs to meet quality standards
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Will train on the job to ensure a smooth transition
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work a 40-hour week and flexible schedule as needed
