Director of Brand and Community

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Brand and Community to join our team at WNBA Toronto. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive brand strategy that drives awareness, engagement, and loyalty among our target audience.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns to build brand awareness and preference.
- Lead the evolution of the WNBA Toronto brand, ensuring it remains relevant and innovative.
- Manage and maintain reports on performance, including awareness, engagement metrics, and other key indicators.
- Analyze market research to create insights and develop best-in-class strategies to connect with our audience.
- Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, and collaboration.
- Act as the steward of the brand, working with internal team members and agency partners to roll out and ensure adoption of the overall brand strategy and guidelines.
- Plan and execute immersive fan festivals across Canada to engage fans.
- Lead the overall fan experience and bring the brand to life in-stadium.
- Foster meaningful connections and elevate brand visibility by prioritizing community involvement across Canada, including partnerships and programming.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify brand opportunities and ensure a consistent brand message across all consumer touch points.
- Oversee the social media and content strategy, creating tailored strategies by channel.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 10+ years of brand marketing experience developing integrated marketing campaigns.
- Proven experience in fostering, nurturing, and growing relationships with the community.
- Experience managing brand partnerships and delivering on partnership asset creation and execution.
- Experience leading a team and managing external agency partners.
- Project management skills, with the ability to take a project from start to finish with minimal oversight.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and a "no job too big or small" attitude.
- Ability to develop KPIs for the team and maintain reports to track overall performance.
- Ability to analyze market research and develop relevant insights to influence campaigns.
- Be a part of the historic launch of the first WNBA team in Canada.
