About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cancer biology, with expertise in tumor development, cell plasticity, and metastasis. You will be responsible for developing an independent, externally funded research program in cancer biology, fostering collaborations with other researchers, and teaching molecular biology and medical science-related courses at the graduate and undergraduate level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead an independent research program in cancer biology, with a focus on tumor development, cell plasticity, and metastasis.
  • Foster collaborations with other researchers within the BCCRI, UBC Faculty of Medicine, and other affiliated universities.
  • Teach molecular biology and medical science-related courses at the graduate and undergraduate level.
  • Contribute to the development of research proposals and grant applications.
Requirements:
  • PhD in cancer biology or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of postdoctoral or equivalent experience.
  • Strong publication record in cancer biology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
