Area Safety Manager

Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure safe working practices and procedures.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely.
- Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Collaborate with regional and national teams to share best practices and implement safety initiatives.
- 2 years of college or equivalent education/experience in a related field.
- 7 years of experience in safety and transportation management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
- Experience with safety software and technology.
- OSHA 10-hr certification and other relevant safety certifications.
